Sherman Winfield is a VP/Creative Director at Fitzco, based in Atlanta. He has helped lead the agency to record financial growth while bringing in a steady flow of client results, creative awards and international recognition.
Sherman joined Fitzco in 2016 after honing his skills at agencies including Crispin Porter + Bogusky (Boulder), SS+K and McCann NY. His past client experience includes the likes of Domino’s, Best Buy, Kraft Mac & Cheese, Jell-O, Obama for America, State Street Global Advisors and New York Lottery. He helps lead creative efforts on the Coca-Cola North America account, whereas his first assignment, he turned a :30 radio brief into a national relaunch of Share A Coke. Instead of delivering one radio spot, the idea was to write a totally unique Coke jingle for every name on Coke bottles – over 1,000 of them. The initiative was recognized and awarded by every major award show in the industry, including Cannes, D&AD, ADC, Radio Mercury, and Best in Category for Radio at One Show.
He also led a pitch and won several brands from the world’s largest spice manufacturer McCormick Corporation, including the entire French’s portfolio, Stubb’s BBQ and Lawry’s Seasoned Salt. One of their latest French’s Yellow Mustard campaigns touts the brand’s American food heritage with the new tagline, “French’s. Not From France.” Last year, he and his team introduced the world to one of the most talked about food innovations of 2019, French’s Mustard Ice Cream, that has been globally recognized and awarded across the industry.
Sherman, a native of Richmond, VA is also an avid sneaker collector, with well-over 130 pair to his name. He created a custom Air Jordan sneaker that payed homage to the “Crying Jordan” meme that caught the attention of every major sneaker and sports outlet, including Sports Illustrated, NY Times and ESPN. Outside of his affinity to sneaker culture, he enjoys slow-cooking on his offset barrel grill & smoker “Gladys”, and cutting up on his turntables under the alias, “djshermski”.
He currently resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife, puppy, and his 1-year old son Langston.
